Owner and head trainer Patrick March brings years of professional hunter/jumper experience, with a background in developing horses and riders at every level. Our personalized approach emphasizes correct fundamentals, confidence, and compassionate horsemanship.
As a rescue dedicated to retraining and rehoming retired Thoroughbred racehorses, every lesson and boarding client helps support our mission of giving deserving horses a second chance. At Galloping Hearts, we intentionally maintain a smaller facility so every horse receives personalized care and every client enjoys a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. Orion "Dark Day"
Orion is an impressive 5-year-old, 17.1-hand Off-the-Track Thoroughbred gelding with all the qualities to become an exceptional sport horse. Having been off the track for several months, he has enjoyed the time to decompress and transition into life beyond racing while building a solid foundation for his next career.
He has already completed 60 days of professional training in our Hunter/Jumper program at Galloping Hearts Rescue, where he has demonstrated a willing attitude, natural athleticism, and an eagerness to learn. Orion has embraced his retraining and continues to develop into a confident and dependable partner.
With his size, scope, and versatility, Orion is ready to head in whatever direction you choose. Whether your goals include the hunter ring, jumpers, eventing, dressage, or simply developing a talented all-around partner, Orion has the potential to excel.

Currently in the early stages of her retraining, Ruth is showing exceptional promise. She is willing, intelligent, and eager to learn, making steady progress with each ride. Her quiet, thoughtful nature gives her a maturity well beyond her years, and she approaches new experiences with curiosity and confidence.
One of Ruth's greatest qualities is her personality. She is an old soul with a kind eye and a gentle heart. She's easy to handle, enjoys attention, and is a favorite around the barn thanks to her sweet, affectionate demeanor. Whether she's being groomed, spending time with people, or learning something new, Ruth is a pleasure to have as part of the Galloping Hearts Rescue family.

Currently halfway through her first 30 days of retraining at Galloping Hearts Rescue, Ruby has impressed everyone with how quickly she learns and how eager she is to please. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves attention, making her a favorite among volunteers and visitors alike.
With her athleticism, balanced movement, and kind temperament, Ruby has all the ingredients to excel in virtually any discipline, whether it's dressage, hunter/jumpers, eventing, ranch work, or simply becoming an exceptional pleasure horse. She is developing into a confident, willing partner who enjoys having a job and forming a bond with her person.
